Terms of Service
By using COOUP you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable, not to hide things.
Last updated · May 1, 2026
1. Platform overview
COOUP is an affiliate marketplace. Merchants list products from their Shopify stores. Independent promoters share those products with their audiences. When a sale is attributed to a promoter through a tracked link, the promoter earns a commission set by the merchant.
COOUP is a tool — not the seller. The merchant remains the seller of record for every order placed on their Shopify store.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use COOUP. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Merchant responsibilities
- You must own or be authorised to manage the connected Shopify store.
- You set the commission and any campaign rules; once a sale is attributed under those rules, the commission is owed.
- You are responsible for product quality, fulfilment, refunds, taxes, and customer service.
- You must comply with Shopify’s policies and applicable laws.
4. Promoter responsibilities
- Share products honestly. Do not misrepresent a product or merchant.
- Disclose affiliate relationships where required by law (e.g. FTC, ASA).
- No spam, no incentivised self-clicks, no fraudulent traffic, no bots.
- You earn commission only on sales that are properly attributed and not refunded or charged back.
5. Commissions & payouts
Commission rates and rules are set by each merchant and shown on the product before promotion. COOUP does not guarantee any specific earnings or sales volume — results depend on the promoter’s audience, the product, and market conditions.
Earnings move from pending to available after the merchant’s refund window closes and the order is confirmed. Payouts are processed via Stripe to the payout method you connect.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Generate clicks or sales by deceptive, automated, or fraudulent means.
- Promote illegal products or use COOUP for illegal activity.
- Reverse engineer, attack, or attempt to disrupt the platform.
- Use COOUP to harass, defame, or infringe on third-party rights.
7. Termination
You can close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that engage in fraud, or that put the platform or other users at risk. Pending earnings tied to fraudulent activity may be withheld.
8. Disclaimers
COOUP is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the platform accurate and online, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific earnings, or specific sales results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COOUP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
